Virginia is a mixed media artist whose work is inspired by those closest to her and the beauty of nature. She employs various mediums to express her emotions and ideas, creating visual narratives that evoke a sense of nostalgic memory.

My Story

Virginia Berthelot is an artist and art educator based in Denham Springs, LA. Virginia and her husband live in Denham Springs and have three children who are all in college. She earned her BA in Visual Arts, focusing on sculpture and pottery, from Southeastern Louisiana University. Virginia also holds a Master’s degree in Gifted, Talented, and Creative Education from Arkansas State University, as well as an Education Specialist degree in GTC from Louisiana State University. Currently, she is pursuing a Masters of Art in Art at Northwestern State University and working toward a painting certificate with Rhode Island School of Design. Virginia taught high school art for 16 years, teaching courses in Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Dual Enrollment Art History, IB Art, and AP Art and Design.
